You are an independent contractor, not an employee, partner, or agent of JunkBuddy. You control when, where, and how you accept and complete jobs. You are responsible for all taxes, expenses, and legal obligations of your own business.
You must maintain a valid driver's licence, a road-legal vehicle, and vehicle insurance meeting your province or state's minimums. You must add JunkBuddy to your policy as a business use classification.
You must complete a Stripe Identity verification (government ID + selfie) before accepting your first job. JunkBuddy may re-verify periodically.
You choose which jobs to accept. Once you accept a job you commit to reaching the pickup within the window shown, hauling the items listed, and disposing of them at a licensed transfer station.
JunkBuddy retains a service fee (currently 20% of the job price; 15% once you exceed 40 pickups per month). You keep 100% of tips. Payouts settle to your Stripe Connect account weekly. Instant payout to a debit card is available for a small flat fee.
You will be rated by every customer. If your rolling 30-day rating drops below 4.6 stars you may be removed from the platform. You may also be removed for safety violations, misrepresentation, or off-platform transactions.
You must report any incident, damage, or injury at the pickup within 24 hours to claims@junkbuddy.io. JunkBuddy's platform insurance covers customer property damage up to CAD $5,000 subject to policy terms. Damage caused by your negligence may result in chargebacks to your payout.
You will not solicit customers off-platform for pickups discovered through JunkBuddy for 12 months after your last job. You will not share customer contact info with third parties.
Either party may terminate this Agreement at any time. Outstanding payments will be settled at the next scheduled payout.
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada.
